Live Roulette Betting - The Bets and Payoffs:
Single Wager- A single wager is when you bet on one number. This wager pays the highest and the payoff is 35 to 1. So if you bet £1.00 and your number comes up you will win £35.00.
Split Wager- A split wager is when you are betting on two numbers that are connected. You place your chip on the line that divides them. This wager pays 17 to 1.
Trio Wager- The triple wager is when you bet on three numbers. You will place your chip where the three numbers intersect. If you are unsure of how this works, ask another seasoned player where to place your bet. This wager pays 11 to 1.
Corner Wager- Wagering on four numbers is considered a corner. This wager too must be placed where the four numbers intersect. A corner bet will pay 8 to 1.
Street Wager- This wager has three numbers and they are all in a row. You place the bet at the end of the row of numbers you want to bet. This is a good payoff as it pays 11 to 1.
Line Wager- When you wager on a line you are actually making two street wagers. You place your bet on the line between the two rows of numbers you want to bet. This is a modest payoff at 5 to 1.
Dozen Wager- On the roulette table you will see three spaces marked First 12, Second 12 and Third 12. Placing your bet on any of these wagers will cover a total of twelve numbers. This bet will pay the winner 2 to 1.
Column Wager- A column wager is much like the dozen. You place your bet on one of the three boxes labeled 2 to 1 found at the end of the table. You will be betting on 12 numbers as in the dozen wager and payoff is the same.
High or Low Wagers- This wager allows you to place your chip on the boxes marked 1 to 18 which is a low wager or the 19 to 36 which is the high wager. Wherever the ball falls within these numbers, as long as your bet is in the proper group you will win with a 1 to 1 payoff.
Red or Black Wagers- For another even money bet you can bet whether the number that comes up will be red or black. No zeros count in this bet.
Odd or Even Wagers- This too is an even money bet. You are wagering on whether the number that comes up will be even or odd.
Knowing specific strategies of betting can make your payoff even larger. You can combine a number of bets centered on a single number that will have you jumping for joy when your number is called.
